How Deflect works

Deflect receives all traffic bound for your website. Our servers reply with content already in cache or contact your webserver periodically to receive fresh data. Malicious requests are mitigated.

Cached content

Deflect servers store cached copies of your website’s pages.

Hidden origin

Only Deflect needs to know where your website is hosted. The Internet only talks to Deflect servers.

Defending Rohingya voices

Since 2012 Deflect protects the Arakan Rohingya National Organisation (ARNO) web properties, covering rights abuses against Rohingya people and other minority groups in Myanmar. The violations include arbitrary arrests, torture, rape and deaths in detention. Over several decades, Rohingya people have been ruthlessly persecuted and left stateless. In spite of Aung San Suu Kyi's attempts to dismiss Rohingya's rights and ignore their please for justice, ARNO continues to bring stories of human rights violations to a global audience.
